A Composition of Moths:
From Two Pictures, One
Poem
"I suppose it would have been more appropriate to
place the luna [moth] with the moon, but the color harmonies of the concept
overcame my logic." ~Glenn
Ambitious,
this polyphemus.
Thick-bodied and brown
he yearns towards the elusive--
a distant crescent
and dreams of
being
graceful-green
enchanted
Actias
luna
his ethereal cousin--
silvered eyes blind
to the
complexion of his own wings
of umber, ochre, and amber,
as they carry
him
skyward.
